JustFIT.lk is a Sri Lankan based fitness & health platform led by the experienced and passionate fitness community. We provide resourceful information on exercise, fitness, health, nutrition, the newest workout trends, healthy recipe ideas, and fitness product reviews. We focus on making sure the Sri Lankan fitness enthusiasts, professionals, and athletes can get the right fitness, health, and nutrition guides according to their lifestyle and food habits. With our multilingual options, we made it simple for our passionate readers to easily understand the guides in their native language. Not to mention, JustFIT is a community-led platform, we also created a fruitful open discussion platform for our audience to deliver the most engaging actionable information and reliable insights.
Surprisingly, only less than a mere 1% of the total Sri Lankan population is into fitness and exercise. So, we decided to do a survey on Sri Lanka’s North, East, and southern provinces to know how much people are aware of fitness. Interestingly, this is what we found:
- 85% of the Gyms don’t have a certified fitness coach or an experienced fitness trainer.
- 85% of gym-goers don’t know their fitness goal or purpose of coming to the gym.
- 95% of the athletes don’t have a basic meal plan because nobody tells them the importance of nutrition and proper meal plans to achieve their fitness goals.
- 80% of gym-goers/fitness athletes don’t have awareness about nutrition supplements. Even they don’t know where to buy, how to prepare them naturally, or how to use them properly.
- 72% of gym-goers don’t maintain proper safety gear (gloves, kneepad, belt, etc.) for their strength / heavy workouts.
From these stats, it’s clear that most of the Sri Lankan gym-goers and fitness athletes suffer from a Lack of awareness and poor support from other people. We understand that every gym goer’s intention isn’t to build muscles or have a six-pack! There are many people who wanted to be #JUSTFIT. So, we’ve created this online fitness community exclusively for the Sri Lankan fitness fanatics to solve all the above-mentioned problems in their local language (Tamil, Sinhala & English).
